Music Everywhere

It's music that is heard throughout mankind
in every kind of culture we can find
From China and Tibet and Afghanistan
From Chile and Jamaica and Japan

It's music that makes us want to dance
if we're living in Fiji or in France
The Scots dance the reel to the pipes of Perth
What joy music brings all around the earth

It's music that makes us want to sing
when daffodils are out and it is spring
We can all express our feelings in a song
when we're happy with life or when things go wrong

We forget all our worry, our stress or fear
when we try to relax, sit back and hear
the thundering chords of the organist
as he plays from Bach or Brahms or Liszt

No music more loved by the local choir
than the annual attempt at the 'Messiah'
Where else in the world can you hear or see
a cup match crowd that sings 'Abide with me'?
