Pete the Pirate

Buccaneer, bandit, bold and daring
Many are the tales of my seafaring
Plundering ships and sailors scaring
I am Pete the Pirate

When they see my flag of death appearing -
skull and crossbones - they start a-fearing
knowing that danger is a-nearing
I am Pete the Pirate

Galleons with gold and hidden treasure
Seizing from the Spaniards gives me pleasure
Riches I acquire beyond all measure
I am Pete the Pirate

Hurricanes and tempests never daunt me
but the ghosts of drowned men come to haunt me
"Murderer" they moan and mock and taunt me
I am Pete the Pirate

Villain of the sea, no hope of Heaven
Of the deadly sins, I've done all seven
One day I'll retire somewhere in Devon
I am Pete the Pirate
